Terms of Use
1. Overview
Service Sheep is a field ministry territory management platform developed by Jar Labs (Johannen Gabriel Robles & Jazielle Mavis Robles), offered as a two-app service: a mobile app for iOS and Android, and a web-based admin console. These Terms of Use cover the mobile app only. The Service Sheep web console (admin portal) is a separate product governed by its own terms of use.
By downloading, installing, or using the Service Sheep mobile app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Definitions
- "We," "us," "our" — Jar Labs (Johannen Gabriel Robles & Jazielle Mavis Robles), the developers of Service Sheep.
- "You," "your," "user" — any person using the Service Sheep mobile app.
- "The mobile app" — the Service Sheep iOS/Android application these Terms cover.
- "The web console" — the Service Sheep admin portal at console.servicesheep.com, governed by separate terms of use.
- "Congregation" — the local group your device is enrolled into.
- "Ministry data" — territories, pins, visit logs, and related records stored on your device.
3. Who These Terms Apply To
These Terms apply to users of the Service Sheep mobile app. They do not apply to the Service Sheep web console. Service Sheep is intended for use in the Philippines only. The mobile app requires no account and does not collect information that identifies you personally.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the mobile app.
4. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the mobile app on devices you own or control, solely for your personal ministry activity and in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the mobile app
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
- Use the mobile app for any purpose other than preaching work
- Remove or obscure any proprietary notices or labels in the mobile app
5. Enrollment and Access
The mobile app requires enrollment into a congregation before ministry data can be imported or exported. Enrollment is performed by scanning a QR code and entering an activation passphrase provided by your congregation's service overseer. Your access to congregation resources through the mobile app depends on your congregation's continued authorization. We are not responsible for any loss of access resulting from a congregation revoking enrollment credentials.
6. Your Responsibilities
6.1 Ministry Data
All ministry data entered into the mobile app is your responsibility. You are responsible for ensuring that records are accurate, lawfully created, and handled in accordance with applicable law.
6.2 Householder Privacy
It is your responsibility to ensure that no Personally Identifiable Information about householders — including names, contact details, nationality, or family information — is entered into the mobile app. Free-text fields such as visit notes and landmarks are not scanned or filtered. The mobile app provides tools for recording ministry activity; it does not review or control what you type. See the Privacy Policy for full details on what data is stored and exported.
6.3 Exports
When you export a territory's ministry data as an .ssrep report file, you choose where to send it. You are responsible for the security and appropriate handling of exported files from the moment you share them. The mobile app encrypts exports with AES-256-GCM, but transmission security depends on the channel you choose. Do not share exports through unsecured channels.
6.4 Device Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of the device on which the mobile app is installed. We recommend enabling a lock PIN within the app to restrict unauthorized access to ministry data.
6.5 Accurate Information
Do not enter false, misleading, or fabricated ministry records.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the mobile app to:
- Record, store, or export Personally Identifiable Information about householders
- Conduct activities unrelated to preaching work
- Attempt to circumvent encryption, access controls, or enrollment mechanisms
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the mobile app
- Use the app in any manner that violates applicable law or regulation
8. Intellectual Property
The mobile app, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Jar Labs and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Territory map data and ministry records you enter remain your property (and your congregation's). We claim no ownership over ministry data created by you.
9. Privacy
Our collection and handling of information in connection with the mobile app is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the mobile app, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
10. Third-Party Services
The mobile app integrates with the following third-party services:
- Sentry — crash and error diagnostics (release builds only). See sentry.io/privacy.
- Protomaps — basemap tile downloads on first territory open. Contact support@protomaps.com for their data practices.
We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.
11. Disclaimers
The mobile app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The mobile app will be error-free or uninterrupted
- Defects will be corrected
- The mobile app is free of viruses or other harmful components
- The results obtained from using the mobile app will be accurate or reliable
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jar Labs (Johannen Gabriel Robles & Jazielle Mavis Robles) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the mobile app — including but not limited to loss of ministry data, loss of access to congregation resources, or unauthorized disclosure of exported files.
Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the mobile app (which is zero, as the app is provided free of charge). Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jar Labs (Johannen Gabriel Robles & Jazielle Mavis Robles) from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the mobile app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law — including claims arising from Personally Identifiable Information you entered into the mobile app or from your handling of exported files.
14. Termination
You may stop using the mobile app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your ability to use the mobile app (for example, by revoking enrollment) if you violate these Terms or if required by law.
On uninstallation, ministry data stored on your device is removed according to your operating system's standard app data removal behavior. Personal notes are removed on uninstallation or when app data is cleared through your device's settings. On iOS, enrollment credentials stored in the Keychain survive uninstallation; the mobile app clears stale credentials automatically on re-installation.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts of the Philippines.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at https://servicesheep.com/app/legal/terms-of-use. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when they were last revised. Continued use of the mobile app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. General Provisions
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Jar Labs regarding your use of the mobile app and supersede any prior agreements or understandings on that subject.
No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
